Barber Hair Expo YEG – Event Recap
Barber Hair Expo YEG brought together barbers from across the region for a day focused on the craft, the culture, and the community that surrounds it. Hosted by Vea from Parlour Barba and Sagar from Hectic Cutz, the event created a space for barbers to connect, learn, and showcase their work alongside some of the industry’s most respected names.
The education portion of the day featured a solid lineup of talent sharing their knowledge and techniques on stage. Luke from East Village Barbers broke down his approach to modern barbering and precision work, while Alec Barbero from Drive In Barbers walked the crowd through his process and creative style behind the chair. Paulo from UGG Cutz also delivered a live demonstration, sharing insights from his experience and showing the attention to detail that defines his work. Throughout the day, additional guests and contributors added to the atmosphere, making the education side of the event both engaging and practical for the barbers in attendance.
Competition was a major highlight of the expo, with five different categories giving barbers the chance to step up and show what they can do. Each category brought a different style and level of creativity to the stage, with competitors pushing their work in front of a packed crowd and panel of judges. At the end of the day, trophies and prizes were awarded to the barbers who stood out and delivered some of the strongest work of the event.
More than anything, Barber Hair Expo YEG was about bringing the barber community together. With barbers, educators, and brands all under one roof, the event captured the energy of the industry right now—driven by creativity, collaboration, and a shared passion for the craft.
