Barber Hair Expo YYC – Event Recap
Calgary’s barber scene came together at Barber Hair Expo YYC for a day all about skill, style, and community. Hosted by Vea from Parlour Barba and Luke from East Village Barbers, the event brought barbers from across Canada to connect, learn, and show off their craft.
The education lineup had some of the best in the business sharing what they do. John Radu from Cannibale focused on modern cutting techniques, while Jojo Wild from Free Form Barbershop showed her razor work and signature style. Alongside them, other educators dropped tips and insights that barbers could take straight back to the chair.
The competition side of the show was next level, with top barbers from across Canada putting their work on display. Precision, creativity, and skill were on full view, with judges and the crowd seeing some of the strongest work the country has to offer.
More than anything, Barber Hair Expo YYC was about the community. Barbers, educators, and supporters all under one roof made for a day that celebrated the craft and the people behind it, leaving everyone inspired and ready for the next one.
